The verses help us to learn that God created everything, HE rules and sustains all things. The very existence of everything we see, touch, and know demonstrates a powerful reality: a single being not only brought it all into existence but also maintains and governs it completely. This is why we can understand His nature through four key truths:
- His authority is absolute.
- His command is the highest law, unchallenged and without any limitation.
- He created everything.
- As the sole source of all things, He has a unique and exclusive claim over everything in the universe.
- Everything belongs to Him.
- As the ultimate owner of all creation, He has a rightful claim over every aspect of existence, including us.
- He existed before all things and sustains all things.
- He is not a part of the cosmos but its eternal origin. His power is what holds every star, planet, and atom in perfect order.
Christian Obedience: A Submission to God’s Will
Our submission to God’s will is an active journey of aligning our desires and actions with His purposes. It’s a process of dying to self and rising to new life in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our submission involves sacrifice – of time, resources, comfort, or even our dreams. It involves setting aside our desires and aligning ourselves with HIS purpose and will. Jesus modeled this submission by fulfilling Father’s desire.The complete submission to God’s will is a key aspect of obedience. It isn’t a one-time event but a daily, moment-by-moment choice. When we;
- Renounce Self-Centeredness
- Embrace Humility
- Practice Obedience
Now the most significant part of this submission is that Jesus himself desired it. That very desire of Jesus is at the heart of what it means to be a Christian. Jesus said, if you love me you will keep my commandments. And in this commitment, we discover true belonging, true connection, with CHRIST. Christian obedience is radical reorientation of our lives, a commitment to doing God’s will above all else. It is a reminder for each one of us that Jesus literally taught submission to God’s will by living it perfectly.
Christian Obedience: God’s Holiness Requirement for Us
God’s holiness is a beacon, guiding us on the path of faith. Obedience is the journey itself, a step-by-step alignment with His holy nature. It’s a process of growth, of becoming more like Christ. And it’s a journey worth taking. We are Called to Holiness
1 Peter 1:15-16:
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Called to Living a Righteous Life
Ephesians 4:24:
“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

In conclusion, Christian obedience is far more than a simple act of following rules. It is a dynamic partnership with the divine. When we accept God’s sovereignty and submit to His will, we acknowledge Him as the supreme authority in our lives. This profound act of surrender is a heartfelt response to His call to holiness. And with the empowering help of the Holy Spirit, we strive to live a life that mirrors His holy nature. Ultimately, through our obedience, we are actively demonstrating our deep trust, reverence, and unwavering commitment to God’s flawless plan and holy standards. It’s in this steadfast pursuit of His will that we find our greatest purpose and experience the true joy of walking with Him.
The Christian obedience series continues, this post ends here.We will meet in the next post. Let’s strive this week to align our hearts with God’s will. Be blessed.
